INFO:
Watch for the safest way to remove any mats or tangles from your clients hair. It is VERY rare a client comes to me with matted or excessively tangled hair. But when they do, it is important to identify why their hair is matted and ensure you enforce your aftercare instructions on them. You can’t be with your client every day after installing their extensions, but a good aftercare guide will help them to maintain them at home. It isn’t normal, it shouldn’t happen, and there’s always a reason behind it. Remove, identify, educate. If a client comes once with tangles or mats, I will remove their mats, identify the cause, and when I’m sure they understand exactly how to look after them, re apply. If they come back a second time with the same issue, I will not re install their extensions as it is clear they can not maintain them safely at home. What processes do you have in place for these kind of issues?
