☀️Good Morning y’all, this is your Market in a Minute – but today, we’re switching things up a bit. We’re not diving into Cabarrus County stats (though if you’re ready to buy or sell, you know who to call!). And nope, it’s not because it’s Halloween – but Happy Halloween anyway! . Today, I want to shed some light on the housing situation in the North Carolina mountains after Helene. Right now, over a thousand homes have been completely lost, leaving many of our neighbors – homeowners and renters alike – displaced. Some are in hotels, others with family, but many are living in tents, under tarps, or in what’s left of their sheds. . We’ve got to come together and be part of the solution. That’s why on Saturday, November 2nd, we’re building 30 tractor sheds to insulate and set up for those in need. These will be temporary shelters until folks can get back on their feet. . I want to put a face to this effort: one of the recipients is a man caring for his elderly father with dementia. They’re living in a tent right now because the flood took everything – their home, shed, cars, tractor, and even their animals. We’re doing what we can to help them piece their lives back together. . This is just the start. It’s going to take time and a lot of hands, but I’m beyond grateful for everyone who’s signed up to volunteer or donated. If you want to join us, check the link below. And if you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry – round two is coming soon. . Make sure to save, share, and keep an eye out for updates. And yes, we’re still here to help you buy or sell your home, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
