What if we could save this association? Here’s the deal: If you’re on the board of directors, it’s time to STEP UP. Forget about chasing superficial volunteer tasks and meaningless name tags when the organization is in trouble. Be the one with ideas, drawing from your successful home business experience. Embrace creativity, even if it means saying something unpopular and being willing to be canceled. I hope our leadership will be brave enough to make UNPOPULAR decisions for the good of the organization, the real estate profession, and even the United States. I believe in leaders who are unafraid to be unpopular, and that’s one reason I support term limits. Term limits encourage more voices to speak up, knowing their time to make a difference is limited.
